Your trip to Mt. McKinley / Denali National Park wouldn’t be complete without experiencing the wonders of the wilderness up close and personal, and there are so many fun things to do.

Area activities include:

Exclusive for 2020 summer only: Drive the Denali Park Road in a Jeep Tour or in a Traverse Alaska Suburban. This summer, visitors have the unique opportunity to explore Denali National Park in the comfort of a Jeep or Suburban lead by two separate companies. Leading your trip in a separate vehicle is the driver guide. Vehicles have CB radios for narration and communication between guests and guides. Drive 66-miles of the Denali Park Road to Eielson Visitor Center and keep your eyes peeled for wildlife and the beautiful landscapes of the park.

Bus tours of Denali National Park
Explore Denali in comfort and style.  A variety of narrated bus tours are available offering either a short 4 hour excursion or a full day adventure!

Hiking
Take time to get a bit closer to nature with either guided or unguided hiking excursions.

ATV rentals
Venture into the wilderness on a guided ATV tour.

Heli-hiking
Combine the adventures of flightseeing and hiking, taking the path less traveled.

Various day activities that bring you up close and personal with the Alaska man's best friend are available in Denali.  One specifically is a visit to the homestead of four-time Iditarod Sled Dog champion, Jeff King.

River rafting, whitewater and scenic
Enjoy the excitement and beauty of Denali from the Nenana River. Experience an 11 mile whitewater Canyon run or Paddle Run down the Nenana River Gorge or the 13 mile scenic Wilderness Run through the mild whitewater section of the Yanert Valley.

Play a round of golf by the light of the midnight sun.

Peddle your way around the entrance area of Denali National Park.
